From memory it was a 2.0 Alfa twin spark which Lotus tuned combined with completely custom suspension, custom body mods, etc.

Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.

Fiat Twin Cam if I recall correctly.

It was exported to Germany for £5k allegedly and remained in the hands of a collector until recently who flogged it after supposedly spending a small fortune on it?

Sorry, you are right with the engine.
A Google shows lots of rumours about the car and what happened to it.
Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
