mr2 alternator removal

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

The red one is what an MR2 looks like after you get frustrated changing the alternator and need to vent ;)
Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.

Whichever f***in' genius put that alternator down there deserves to be beaten in public by Adam Ant, king of the alternator-slinging scene. :o

Saying that, I did once fall out with a Fiat Seicento (modern, front-engined one) bigtime because its alternator was in almost as dumb a place.

Have you thought about asking specialist Japanese breakers over in the UK for prices on a used alternator? It can't be unique to Mister Two and Japanese electrics are reliable so there ought to be good, used units out there that will last long enough for you to flog the car or drive it somewhere that you could burn it without being spotted. :D

Enjoy the alcohol.
