I'm having a couple more days rest to recuperate from a series of falls! (all on the same day)
With the rain and fog a wooden ramp which I use as access was very slippery.
So A landed badly and onto my bag breaking my reading glasses.
Also I forgot to get the piping so I will get that monday.

The Fuel filter/regulator on the pump assembly

Image

Oh and an email to say they have the correct one ordered and
1) it' made and coming from Italy
2) it well be a further £30 on top of what I've already paid.

The brake and fuel pipes are in but are not clipped in,
so they will be later.

My friendly mechanic Dean came over to giveme a hand with my brake pipes.
We found a little problem!

Image

On the left is what we get as standard over here, the one on the right is off the car!

Image

Dean managed to reuse the ones on the abs pump, but the ends on the brake
hoses are too far gone. Thats new brake hoses needed.
I've asked a auto parts shop to get me the hoses, they said could be thursday/friday.

Image

Dean has said he will call back over and sort the brake hoses & lines out when I get them.

I've had the drill out and been clipping the copper pipe work.

I just need to re-clip the lpg pipe, the cables for the abs sensors,
and the lpg fuel level sensor will be ran inside the car.
Depending on the weather I might do that tomorrow.

Only a little done on the car today, due to a reaction to meds over the past few days.
The LPG pipe has been re-clipped back under the car, and all the wiring which would
normally run under the car has been taken through the hole the power and fuel tank
level sender sensor goes through.
(no pictures)

If I can get the fuel pump out I can clean the grit filter out before the tank can go back.
I'll ask dad to do losen the holding nut off tomorrow night.

Remember I said the front brake hoses were about £11 each and the back about £17
each, I called the car parts store to see if they finally got them.
They got them but they are over £25 + tax. They are holding them for me!

My father has agreed to remove the locking ring holding the fuel pump in.
Nothing done today, as I was at the hospital having diabetic eye screening.
I have been given the all clear for another 6 months so no more lazer treatment.
Normal service (or what passes for it) will resume tomorrow (weather permitting)

I thought it best to remove the fuel filler pipe,
so the remnants of the rubber connecting pipe
could be removed. There were only 3 screws
at the top holding it on.

Not nice looks like more money and a new one!

Th fuel tank went back in but will have to come back out again tomorrow.
I couldn't get the plastic quick release bit into the fuel hose!
The hose was a nice tight fit onto the fuel line.
And I can't find my lpg parts which could solve the problem.
BUGGER!!!!! it's always one step forward and two steps back!

I have given myself a target date to get Christine back on the road.

Second hand fuel filler neck the usa rather than a new one.
I have managed to get a ebay seller in Goodlettsville, Tennessee.
To sell me one and ship it to the UK for $45 +$60 shipping
From amount £66.59 GBP To amount $105.00 USD
Exchange rate: 1 GBP = 1.57681 USD

Thats one problem solved! whats next?
