Overseas restoration workshops

#1 Post by pryantcc »

Hi Folks,
Does anyone have any experience with shipping a car off to be restored in Eastern Europe or elsewhere? I'm actually only looking for a top class bare metal spray job, but getting a good job done locally is looking expensive at 50Euro per hour.
I'm well aware of the potential for disaster with getting this kind of work done remotely, but would love someone to pop up with details of a master craftsman who's working for peanuts somewhere! :)

Thanks,
Paul.

Going back to the Polish resto, it was Keith Adams who sent his early Series 1 Rover SD1 to Poland for restoration. It even briefly featured in an episode of Wreck Rescue.
