Practical Classics Restoration Show 2015 - Report & Photos

After months of organising / sorting / arranging - 2 days of very intensive logistics to get everything together we arrived at the show - if it were just boxes of things then it would be simple but when you have axle less bodyshells, non running barnfinds, industrial sewing machines, chassis tilters it becomes far more complex especially when everything is spread out over a 100 mile radius from home at various members locations plus the trailer is at my employers yard. Having converged at the NEC on Friday (just another 100 miles from home) I then had to unload the bodyshell and trip to the outskirts of Coventry to collect a Jowett of pre war vintage - by 18:00 hours the stand was built, cars placed and we were ready for the show (plus a well earned visit to the hotel bar) So incoming images to what we got up to

The Practical Classics Javelin of Sam Glover & Neil Campbell underwent a full brake rebuild on the stand by club members (no doubt to feature in a forthcoming edition of PC)

1926 Jowett Short 2 with Dicky - pulled out from under a collapsed building the 1960's and restored

1952 Jowett Jupiter - member owner restored 25 years ago and it still sweeps the board at Concours events

I remain amazed at crowds 3 & 4 rows deep - I have already been asked by the organisers if I can do the lead loading demonstrations again next year

So to the rest of the show - due to commitments on our own stand I only got a very quick 15 mins walk round the rest of the show - some great cars and very committed clubs out there - all staffed by enthusiastic members and all bar a few with a smile on their faces
