The 300TDI and V8 share temperature sensors (AMR1425) but the 200tdi is different. They are different sizes and fittings so they aren't interchangeable.
The 200 TDI was available in the 92/93 range rover so assuming the sensors are electrically different it may be sensible to find a dash from a scrapped car to swap it out.
I am assuming that the sensor fitted is OK, they only cost a fiver so it may be worth swapping it out just in case as that is less work than finding and replacing the instrument cluster.
Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.
