forecasting future tech and retrofitting a vehicle with it!

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

forecasting future tech and retrofitting a vehicle with it!

#1 Post by Mitsuru »

Everybody knows how star trek influenced giving us such things as the mobile phone
and other stuff!

I was chanel hopping and now it is the time for Marty McFly and Doc Brown!!! Yes I'm
talking about "Back to the Future!"

As things start out on a small scale to get the bugs out before being installed on bigger
things like cars and trucks. We can forget about the google car as the Hover board is
already here!!!!!!

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/14 ... hoverboard

Please note that as this is on technology and on vehicles and on where things might go
I put this in general chat for us to chew over. And NO not on the neon as the hover stuff
doesn't have brakes!!

But a leyland wedge instead of a dmc12 might be more practical
I'm Diabetic,& disabled BUT!! NOT DEAD YET!!

However I moved it to off topic as it is science fiction until it becomes a realistic product.

If you are really interested in making things hover, Google "Meissner effect"
Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.
