SKY TV DRAMA

#1 Post by katieenfieldhaunting »

Hi Everyone

I hope you don't mind me sneaking on here to post some info about a show I'm working on, wanted to see if there was any interest...

The series is a 3 part drama for SKY set in 1977, London.

Whilst the art department are working hard making sets and gathering props to bring the story world to life, this won't come together without the classic cars of the time to provide the exterior scenes with a context and make the 70's world believable!

Filming will take place in North West London (Harrow area) throughout September and October, and there will be a daily rate of £100 for each day the car is required, plus the cost of petrol to and from the location (max. 50 miles). Most cars will be required on a drop off/pick up basis, giving owners the opportunity to explore London for the day, however if you are required to stay with the car and/or chosen to drive the car in a scene we will provide catering for the day (very good food!).

A lucky few will also get the chance to have hair, make-up and costume and take part in filming - however this will be Director's choice and unfortunately not everyone will be chosen to appear on camera.

If anyone with a classic car from the late 60's/70's is interested they can email me: katieenfieldhaunting@gmail.com or call me on: 07909266973. The show is set in 1977 so any cars that would have been seen on the roads in London at that time would be great. There are no specifics for colour, but it would be great if I could get a picture of the car of anyone interested and contact details/where they are based. We are hoping for some cars to be more used/less show car looking to be more realistic.

I know peoples' availability will vary depending on the dates, but it would be great to get in contact now so once these dates are more concrete we can discuss who and when people would be able to take part. I should have a better idea of dates by next week, but as mentioned before it will be during september/october.

Sorry again for hijacking your forum, do contact me if you have any questions/thoughts :)

Best
Katie

I suspect a lot of owners wouldn't be happy about having to go away and leave their pride and joy in the hands of a load of strangers. You may get a better response if you allowed them to remain on set.

Hiya

This is totally understandable. Obviously the car will be covered by the company insurance and if asked to drive the car in the scene, you will be with the car for the entire day.
If you have any questions do drop me an email.

I'd be interested, but I'm 100 miles away, so a bit of a slog there and back, especially if you'd want it split over say 2 or 3 days.
