Optical illusion

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

Optical illusion

#1 Post by Martin Evans »

First off, what a great film, good driving and a fabulous soundtrack - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sK5wSsSNHs4.

If you look at the left front, the Avon logo appears to be going backwards at times (He hasn't even locked a wheel, so it doesn't even stop turning). I reckon this has to be something to do with the wheel spinning too fast for the shutter speed of the camera to keep up. Any cameramen here able to confirm this or is it down to the eyes :?:

It's even less complex than that. The frame rate of the camera is lower than the cyclic frequency of that wheel; its speed as defined by the tyre maker's legend coming into view. ;)

It's none of the above - it's a glitch in the matrix and you can tell 'em that in court!
