77 TR7

Post pictures and stories about your cars both present and past. Also post up "blogs" on your restoration projects - the more pictures the better! Note: blog-type threads often get few replies, but are often read by many members, and provide interest and motivation to other enthusiasts so don't be disappointed if you don't get many replies.

77 TR7

#1 Post by motman »

Well as you may recall I sold my 76 TR7 resto and bought a much better condition 77 instead. Main reason for this was simply I paid less for this car that a respray would have cost on the other one, let alone all the other jobs that wanted doing so to recap............

Stood in a heated garage for 12 years without use but a new battery and a 12v feed to the coil saw it up and running. Straight in for an Mot and four new tyres, a brake rebuild and a couple of steering rack gaiters saw it though

Not all good news though, it was soon obvious the water pump was leaking and needed a replacement

Colour coordinated coolant, that must be a first! ;)
Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.
