Early driving test book and Highway Code

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

Early driving test book and Highway Code

#1 Post by Mitsuru »

While sorting through old paperwork form Great Aunt Pollys, Mother
came across these two little books. Talk about a blast from the past!

Please remember these instruction manuals are pre motorway. And once the motorway was introduced,
all road signs were over hauled. And some hand signals dropped or changed.

Hmm. Technically, every hand signal is still very much valid, it's just that there's a whole generation who've never driven cars with feeble trafficators or no indicators at all, some of whom have been fortunate enough not to have been asked questions about signals when taking the verbal Q&A part of their test. ;)
