Wee bit of advice needed

#1 Post by phil-mcc »

Hi All

My friend has a 1939 Ford V8 Sedan, (RHD) - believed to be the only one imported RHD in the Uk, it was imported at the start of the war as there was not a lot being built in the Uk at that time.

It's current condition is complete, it requires quite a lot of restoration, the only part known to be needed is nearside front headlamp glass, other than that, everything is there. (even the clock on the dash still works  )

Has done 22000 miles from new, been dry stored since the sixties

The time has come to probably pass this on to someone who could bring it back to its former glory

The question is, where would be the best place to advertise this and any idea of a value range

Phil

(pics will be available....soon  )

How about one of the specialist classic car auctioneers, they would have an idea of the value and would put some effort into marketing it. Classic car mags probably wouldn't reach a wide enough audience and as for eBay.....

Always check that your not about to reverse over your tool box before moving the car...

6 months sounds like a pretty quick restoration ;)
Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.
