An electric MGF, Tina's jam sandwich, a jag with a missing headlamp.
Something to read when the girlfriend goes out later
edit:
Danny: an e36 isn't a classic, it isn't even very old. The spitfire is looking superb, when are we getting a feature on the austin van?
Neil: You big wuss not restoring that cambridge, it only needs a bit of t-cut and a service
Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.
Agreed. If only more people did stuff just because they can, rather than worrying about such things as why and how, then the world would be full of old Austins with Kubota Diesel engines and we'd all own the oil we find when digging under our back lawns instead of having to inform the ministry of malicious interference, or whoever they are these days.
Look at the F this way: It isn't a Datsun Leaf and that's good enough for me thanks.
J "Home is where you park it", so the saying goes. That may yet come true..

Yes. Some big men came and took me away for interrogation.
Oh sorry, that was for taking a dump in the house of Lords. Is there a difference? Those leather benches are so comfy you know.
But hey, the July edition is here and it has car content.

My June issue just arrived here, after accidentally going to Algeria and back.
I thought you guys were restoring an Austin Westminster? So the picture on page 35 is a Cambridge is it? Wake up at the back there...
I really think you ought to be trying harder. The 'Withnail and I' thing was a waste of space - many people think the film was rubbish, you may be surprised to know. And two whole pages to plug a caravan book? Really.
My patience is wearing thin.
There is one part of the world where there are front engined rear drive cars made in "meaningful" quantities - Australia.
The local Ford Falcon and Holden Commodore models are always in the top three sellers here. The Aussie tradional RWD with a big six or a V8.
Most of the Taxis are Falcons here.
In the UK you can buy the Commodore as the Vauxhall VXR8 and it was the Pontiac G8 in the US until Pontiac died. The current Camaro is also built on the Commodore platform and the US Chervolet Caprice Police car is actually a Holden Statesman (long wheel base Commodore) made in Aus.
I agree with you on the Toyota MR2. A highly underrated classic car. My faded and slightly battered ex-USA 85 model has 179,000 miles on it. But it still goes well, has no rust and everything electrical still works perfectly.
