Hi,
Back in the '70's I had a Vauxhall Viva with a beige interior. I decided black would be much better, I fitted black nylon seat covers and painted the door cards etc. with some vinyl paint which I think came from Halfords. Does anyone know if this is still available?
I now have a 1979 MG Midget with the same beige interior and I'd like to change this to black.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
Vinyl Paint - Still Available?
Re: Vinyl Paint - Still Available?
Yeah, Woolies do it.

I've used it - excellent stuff, but I recommend using the cleaner and primer as they suggest. Not cheap but the vinyl will come out looking like new.
Slight problem is that they don't post aerosols overseas, but then this would probably apply to any seller, so hopefully you could pick it up on a trip to the UK.
Cheers

Some people are like Slinkies - they serve no useful purpose, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them downstairs.
Re: Vinyl Paint - Still Available?
Halfords do their own brand too. It's not as good on flexible surfaces as the Vinylcote stuff but is fine for general use apart from seat facings, on which only the Vinylcote seems to manage.
For dash tops, roof cloth, seat backs and any hard ABS or Rexine type surface, Halfords' own is fine. I used it recently to spray white over a black door card and that seemed like a pretty severe test - which it aced.
