car check

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

DVLA Vehicle enquiry:
https://www.taxdisc.direct.gov.uk/EvlPo ... home/intro

AA vehicle check:
http://www.theaa.com/car-data-checks/index.html
If you enter the reg number it will tell you the make, model and engine size for free

Motor Insurance Database:
http://www.askmid.com/

If the car is insured it will pop up the make and model.

All handy links to keep on your phone.
Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.
