Well last week I purchased off ebay a neew winch cable and fairlead.
8mm Wire Winch Cable with Winch Hook 15 meters which has a
breaking load of 4000kg, yes it's new not used. And it is a little over
kill but I would rather have the cable far stronger than necessary.
Both items bought separately. I just need a fixing bracket for the fair
lead and some good weather to work outside when I get it to put it
all together.

Sorry guys nothing been done on the car with this weather first rain
and flooding, now frosts with snow in the forecast for the next seven
days.
I have as well as put a request in the wanted section the neons.org
forum, I have also been contacting sellers in the USA braking 1997 Dodge
Intrepids on ebay. I have as of today still not been able to find a set of
ecu plugs to make an adapter for the intrepid ecu to be plugged into the
chrysler voyager wiring loom.

Lovely!
You can work in that for about 5 minutes before your hands refuse to move any more and its time to knock it on the head

Sir those photos were taken in a break of the snow fall, otherwise
it was a total white out up here! My mother drove me too and from
my podiatry appointment in dad's discovery, and we were down to
20mph in 60 limit areas as it was that bad!

Well the weather here has been rain, strong winds and cold temperatures.
So nothing done one the car.
Made worse by a little mishap 2 days ago! While trying to get the hose fire
ready for the evening, I had to chop a few bits of wood to make suitable
size sticks. I slipped and hit my hand with the hatchet!
Luckily the hatchet wasn't as sharp as it could have been & no bones broken.
However it did break the skin, but with my immune system I have to keep it
clean dry and out of the cold to avoid infection.
Okay back on topic.
As it has been a fair bit of time since I removed the exhaust pipe with the
down stream lambda sensor, & even longer since I removed the old 4 pot from
my neon.
I can't remember where it plugs into on the car, whether it was on the engine
harness or into the main loom on the car!
As I have said the weather we are having is not suitable, so I'm not going into
the inspection pit as it full of water and lord knows what! I am not going to risk
my health to check on where it is.
So I thought it safer to ask a few people through a pm/email on the neons.org
forum which has resulted in different answers.
What is agreed on is that the upstream lambda(heated O2) sensor plugs into the
Engine harness. However it is the down stream lambda(heated O2) sensor Which
is what I need to know about!
Add to which those who I have asked are probably using their own experience with
left hand drive cars, and my old girl is right hand drive. Which could mean what
answers I do get could be wrong because the old girl is an export RHD!
I was hoping that if the neon had the wiring to the downstream lambda sensor I
could use that rather than have to run a new set of wires for it(and avoid making a
bit of a mess with too many wires)
With a bit of luck I have been speaking to someone through ebay who has the plugs
I need for the intrepid ecu. So I need to get cracking on getting the socket off the old
neon ecu to make the adapter to go from voyager wiring loom to intrepid ecu.
They have said they are send 2 sets of plugs, which I have plans for later on in the year
as while the car is on the road I could use the second set of plugs to make a second
adapter , but the second adapter will be part of the LPG system wiring loom, so I would
not need to chop into the cars wiring again, and it wold make it quicker and easier to to
install the LPG7 system

I won't wish people a merry Christmas considering what some people could
be going through, be it work, weather or money related troubles.
So I will wish you all a safe and dry(flood free) Christmas and New Year.
As we all have had to make compromises over this year let us all hope
that the next one will be a better one.

I had my 6 monthly appointment with an eye specialist this morning, and
what was said scared the S**T out of me! My right ee only has peripheral vision
due to the amount of damage done by diabetes and the lazer treatment used
to keep what sight I have left in it.
Well it is my left eye which needs some lazer treatment to nip a problem in the
bud, but his next words were "if you have too much treatment you will have to
stop driving and give up your licence!"
If I was able-bodied that wouldn't ave been too much of a problem, but I'm not
and a car is my legs. This is the first time it has ever been mentioned!

I am currently still awaiting for the intrepid ecu plugs coming from the USA.
Below is taken from the usps email on it's details.
Current Track & Confirm e-mail information provided by the U.S. Postal Service.

Is it in some sorting pile somewhere ir has it been lost? With the Holidays being a big
time for people and companies to send stuff through the post I have no idea how long
it might take!
Add to which the first bit of good weather this area has had in a while, and I'm stuck in
bed suffering the side effects of meds I for obvious reasons don't like taking!
I hope you all had a good New Year, and didn't get too rat arsed! Those hangovers get
worse the older you get, something I wouldn't know bloody meds mean I can't drink while
I'm on them!
AS this was mentioned on the local news I will repeat something I know to be true
"The North of England has had the wettest year since records began!"
And the next bit was " the frequency of extreme rainfall in the UK may be increasing."

Question has anyone thought about coverting their car into an Amphicar yet?
