All the best,

That reminds me. Back in the late 70s, I was visiting my parents in Kington, Herefordshire when my father asked me to help one of his neighbours, a Mr Kitchin, start his car. The car was a white D reg MGB GT, with a registration number very similar to yours, I can't remember it exactly though. I cleaned and gapped the points and gave it a jump start from the Princess 2200 HLS and Mr K went on his way rejoicing. I can't help wondering if it was the same car, after all it was quite close to your neck of the woods and I'm sure the number started off JKF...
Ha ha...

That'll be this car!

Dr Kitchin is my father-in-law.

Small world once again.

This talk of accents reminds me of a Stanley Baxter sketch, where they did regional news. I can't remember which regions they did but none of them could be understood, whether they were Welsh, North East, Scottish or whatever. The punch line was when they went back to the studio in London and the very posh announcer was also unintelligible.

Car SOS (National Geographic) TV car restoration show

What happened to this show ? I can't find any official reference to it, nothing on Nat Geo, but I did find a post on a Triumph forum that talks about a car that was supposed to be part of the show, but it was returned to the owner without being restored (or possibly mid-restoration) due to the program being axed, and it was finished by a volunteer team at a classic car show.

The show is still available on Demand 5. HERE.

It appears to be every bit as funny after all this time!

but what about Car SOS (National Geographic) ? it was filming last year, the production company & presenters posted on various car forums, it was mentioned in some publications, to be aired early 2013, but has since gone very quiet !

Good question, is there a thread about that? I've searched the forum from top to toe but can't find one. :?
