What do you want to do most of all?

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

Hmm, I suspect Richard would want an apprentice that stays after he learns how to cure Herald ignition problems!

I don't think I'd want to run a business though - too much red tape and paperwork for my taste! Mind you, that's one of the reasons why I'd avoid a trophy wife/bride ...

I am single and have often been reminded that getting married makes TWO people unhappy (especially if one thinks it is OK to own two old tractors and a Land Rover - and spend all his money on them!)

Not if you remove the batteries from all of them before she comes home from her work.

The old sage says "Women marry men expecting they will change; men marry women expecting they will stay the same. Both are disappointed!"

I'm pretty sure that a "good woman" would find me a bit of a slob - I haven't Hoovered the downstairs carpets for over a week (and upstairs for a month!). That isn't a great problem unless you have dark carpets and a white(ish) dog that's moulting - and likes to eat Bonios in the living room!

Oh well, at least it's only July, I don't need clean undies for a couple of months...

My wife lets me get away with a lot. We don't have a perfect marriage, but she is very tolerant of my automotive habits. To thank her I even bought her a classic Mini. Which I can play with of course. ;)

As for anyone else who complains, I just tell them I have a condition called CRAPS - Compulsive Rusty Automobile Purchase Syndrome.

I would say something similar. My other half enjoys my cars when they are working and puts up with me working on them when they aren't. She knows that in exchange for losing me to some spanner time she gets days out in cars she likes.
Heather has a real soft spot for the mog but I think most people do. I can get away with cancelling things if I am going to do some work on that.

I suspect most wives/partners prefer to hear the other half banging away at their car in the garage, rather than hear about them banging somewhere else!
