This morning by special delivery the LPG injectors arrived.
I will combine the bracket for holding the Coil pack with being able to hold them.

I attached the engine crane and lifted the engine and gearbox so I could measure
up for the from engine mount. In the process I lifted the engine to where it should have been if the mounts weren't as soft.

Image

I forgot to take pictures of the front engine mount and how it doesn't hit the mark!
Oh well! pictures will be before and after I modify it to fit.

The cardboard template was placed behind the old bracket plate the bolted up.

Image

Image

Then I took the Left front wheel off and dropped the car to get the engine and
box out easly, the jacker her back up and put wheels back on to be pushed out
out of the way. The engine and box on a blue board with some tarp wrapped
around to keep the weather off and the sawdust out (dad's wood working).

Image

I will start on the alternator bracket again tomorrow!

Guess what came this morning!!!

Image

Image

EEErrrrr!!!! Wheres the drain plug?

Image

Image

Bugger!! there isn't one, oh well means less obstruction in moving the bottom pipe.
Time to put it in and pair it up with the A/C condensor.

Image

Image

Image

And how thick is it?

Image

Image

Image

Now to close the bonnet ,yes I put it back on just for this next bit!
I then jacked the car up and put axel stands under her then pulled
myself under the car and into the engine bay.

Image

Image

Image

Image

And now the finger test?
Left side too much space infront why is that as it's not touching anything?
Image

Ah! thats why the top of the coolant inlet not being tapered mean it's touching the bonnet and can't go any further forward, that will need to be sorted by the Radiator company

Image

I escaped from the engine bay as it spat on to rain, so I washed the car and it has been raining on and off since!

Had a call from Commercial Propshaft Services/Drive Link
My short drive shaft is readym they have made it so
inner is voyager and outer is mk1 neon by cutting and joining shaft.

£110 + tax, so i will get that tomorrow

Considering that my garage had said that Commercial Prop-shaft
Services couldn't do it and that the person who could have done it
no-longer worked there doesn't hold water.

Speaking of holding water!
I dropped my radiator off and they said the ,ods I want doing to it will
cost £60-80 (off the books so to speak)
And will take about a week to 2 weeks nut not in a hurry about it.
(gives me a chance to get some money together I'm Skint!)

It's been raining so nothing done on the car.

As the exhaust mid section has gone on mothers escort estate(no comment)
Mother took me to Teamvalley Trading Estate in Gateshead in dad's Landrover Discovery
(I can't handle it's clutch mother can) to collect the Left Short drive shaft.

Image

Image

The customised drive shaft looks likw its almost brand new!
It will stay in it's sealed plastic bag till it's needed, the bottom box are all the bits left over.
On the way home mother agreed to stop off 5 min at Charlie Newton's Scrapyard.
I went around with a tape measure trying to find and automatics for their oil cooler radiators.
There was an 1980's BMW in-line 6 cylinder engine which was the most promising, mother
dove me home and I got a few tools together, borrowed her loud escort and got back to
the scrapyard. 2 plastic clips on the top for holding fanshroud on a furthe 2 holhing full
radiators in place. A couple of jubilee pipe clips on the water pipes, but I had to cut the pipes
for the oil cooler. Total time removing then seperating the cooler radiator from the frame 10-20
min tops.

I got it home for these pictures.

I put it infront of the old radiator for comparison.

Image

While rumaging around the scrapyard I came across an old 1970'5 Vauxhall saloon, 14 inch
wheels with chrome hub caps and Chrome rings on all the wheels.
2 chrome rings were rusted through and I could only get one of the hub caps off, I got the 2
chrome rings and one hubcap aswell as the oil radiator. I got them home and tried them on
the spare steel wheel.

Have you forgotten that once we were brought here we were robbed of our names, robbed of our language,we lost our religion, our culture, our God? And many of us by the way we act,we even lost our minds.

Yesterday I only messed about with cardboard making tempkates ready for today.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Today's work on the alternator bracket.
The completed template on the engine.

Image

Image

I completed the front plate of the bracket.
OK it needs a little tidying oup with the grinder, but I ran out of grinding disks!

Image

Image

Do you think there is enough clearance for the drive shaft now?

Image

Image

Left isthe cardboard template used to make both front and back plates.
The back plate I've not finished cutting to shape as I had to call it quits for the day.
My body gave up on me, my back locked my leg went and both ankles were like
balloons when I took my shoes off!
