oil filter element

#1 Post by johnwwaters »

Can anyone tell me who may stock oil filter elements that would fit my 1937 Armstrong Siddeley 14HP? Its dimensions are approx 7 " long and it fits inside a 3"diameter bowl. The old one that I have was made of felt and has a star-like cross section.

Maybe an oil burner element would provide a suitable, effective modern alternative.

The size of this one is closest, others are available, click below for the details of the supplier:

Failing that, Purolator make custom ones for all manner of weird applications, but that costs. Lots.

Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.

I can only imagine the satisfaction that's to be had from reviving something that hasn't run for such a long time, good luck with this, fingers crossed for you. :)
