206

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

Living in the countryside, the road is a bit muddy, car was making a rubbing noise.. had a look and the rear wheel arch liner was full of soil. After a bit of a fiddle I got it off and dug 8 kg of soil out... further investigation I noticed that there is no liner a the top so soil is going up to the top of the c post.. this is the same both sides .. is this normal??
Regarding the engine light, it still on and booked for a visit with a mechanic when he has time..

Yes that is normal, only the front has liners.

Let me translate that for you:

"It's French.... "

After a visit to the mechanic it's showing po170 and po130 codes.. I'm going to give it a dose of injector cleaner and check if anything is amiss.. ive already had a look but can't see anything.. would it be worth changing the lambda sensor?

Update, I've given it a couple of doses of injector cleaner and a damn good thrashing.. its running OK if a little lumpy on idle.. someone mentioned the egr valve.. could that cause the problem??
