Post pictures and stories about your cars both present and past. Also post up "blogs" on your restoration projects - the more pictures the better! Note: blog-type threads often get few replies, but are often read by many members, and provide interest and motivation to other enthusiasts so don't be disappointed if you don't get many replies.
Are you able to get hold of those repair panels easily?
You can get most panels for these but at a price.
Mk1 owners club do a lot of panels at a fare price but if you
want good fitting panels then express panels are the firm but not cheap.
Comes down to time or money. From my experience time is more important, especially when you're fixing it on the drive and you need it ready for Monday morning.
If you've got something in a nice dry workshop, and you're doing it in slack time, you may want to prioritise different.
That said, if it's a big job like this do you really want to p about for an hour fettling?
