Singer gazelle core plugs

Can anyone confirm for me if there is a core plug at the rear of the 1600ccs singer gazelle block,-inside the bell housing ? Or where else would water be leaking from to actually drip out of the bottom of the bell housing? Any help will be greatly appreciated Cheers John B

Hi JohnB, yes there is a core plug at the rear of the block, to gain access I think you need to remove gearbox, clutch assembly and flywheel. Good luck.
