Datsun 120Y/140Y auto wanted.

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

Shame you got rid of the mog as I have found another engine option for you and no need to worry about finding a gearbox, this uses an alternative method of propulsion

And another possible engine:

You may need a small stretch on the front end to get it in.

The Mog has already been fitted up, painted (Blue) and trimmed out in readiness for its (now ordered by the buyer) authentic set of seats and other detail bits. It's going to be receiving a modified engine based around an original 950 block, all mods will be in keeping with the car's age so the brakes will be upgraded with Riley 1.5 drums rather than the discs we tend to see these days. I've been promised a ride in it once the car is back on the road, insured and doubtless looking fine.
Meanwhile, Toyota and self are bonding shockingly well. I have no regrets about saving that one for its intended purpose.

You could probably squeeze that block in to your Toyota but you may need a small "power bulge" in the bonnet to clear some of the intakes ;)
