I was expecting an Aygo or some other modern Toyota shite, but I shall let you off! An old dear local has a pretty much identical G reg one that looks rather tidy, I've not noticed if its auto or manual, but betting the former, I shall try and have a nose at some point.
Of course, your other alternative with the sunroof is disconnect the switch, however, myself, I'd rather have a nice working roof you can open up this nice weather, let a bit of sun in, even if I have to slap factor 50 on the old pate!

I sorted the fault but haven't yet had the courage to open the roof in case someone in a passing aircraft is flushing the toilet. Like everything else about my Japanese Retro Ride, the electric roof thing is all very logically assembled and even the owner's handbook gave some basic instructions that helped with the task. Quite a contrast to a modern car, whose instruction book tends to be filled with dire warnings about the consequences of having a fiddle with it oneself.

Ahh the joys of brand new modern stuff, great when working as it should, but we'll not bring up that poxy Mondeo again shall we!
I did spend a short time with a nice Accord, bought to tide me over a couple of months, and nursed on with a slipping clutch, until it finally refused to pull away at anything faster than a crawl. My first Japanese motor for an absolute age, but I rather liked it.

That is rather handsome in a functional sort of way. Nice wheels too, 4x100mm/ET37 by any chance? I'm thinking of having a spare set of wheels and tyres that can go on over the winter to preserve the Corolla's factory alloys. Hmm, if only someone with strong Photoshop skills could put the Honda wheels on my motor by means of PC magicks...

114.3x4, same as the Rover 600 and 800, you'll be needing some off a 200/400/25/45/ZR/ZS etc etc etc for 100x4.

Hmm, four and a half inches in old money, which would mean that the Honda's wheels would go on a Maxi or Allegro. So to run those, I'd have to buy another Maxi and batter its arches a little. Maybe some BBS wheels from a Golf would be the better plan for the Toyota. Damn, I'll have to curb my enthusiasm or I'll find myself buying and fitting AVO coilovers at £700 a set!
