We had an oyster gold escort, that was a nightmare to match, the TR7 was a pale metallic blue (persian aqua) which was also impossible to match well without painting a whole panel for each scratch / rust patch, ended up painting it a flat blue.

The Mx 5 if a non metalic black with no laquer which is very easy to touch up using a professional aerosol followed up by mopping.

For the minor we are planning to use roller applied synthetic over an epoxy primer with which I have had good results in the past, though I may spray a final coat on the interior where you will look very closely at it.

Sounds like a good plan. Use quality rollers and brushes and proper masking etc.
