One of those days working on a classic.

#1 Post by SEE YA »

Working on the wife's car today replacing engine inlet manifold rubbers. I am trying to do this while looking after two kids.

Made a classic mistake dropped a screw from the tinware down the bore.

It just sat on the edge winking at me, their is me fingers crossed it does not drop down to the piston.

Can I find the right tool, to save the day and stop the engine coming out of the car to get the screw out?

The answer is no its somewhere in the garage.

Cunning plan to the comes into play, take one fridge magnet a hammer. Do not tell the wife

A bit of string and the magnet hooray out is comes.

Next time I will do what, I did last time block the holes up with a rag.
