buying cars form shows?

looking go to a few shows this year what the way of a buying at a show

Must admit I've always looked but never bought. I tend to think they are always asking for top prices as well especially if they are a dealer. Guess the best way is to get talking to them if its a private sale and if you don't mind the risk of losing it then offer them money at the last moment if its still there. Guess you would need the readies there and then and have a way of getting it back legally but I suppose it is tempting for someone to be offering cash in front of them so could get a good deal.
