Do you know, I don't think he is on here... but he's seen the comment and made some disparaging remark about my love of TERRIBLE cars so I reckon we're even.

I am not entirely sure what I have done but oil was running out of the front of the sump just below the front cover, in 1 min of running it has dropped enough oil from it to go from max to just under min on the dipstick (about 2litres). After some major driveway cleaning, I had no enthusiasm to work out what has happened. I think either my new rubber sump gasket has split (I deliberately bought a rubber gasket so that wouldn't happen as the cork ones seem to degrade and leak after a year which having a sump gasket as a service item is quite annoying) or the front cover gasket is leaking.
SWMBO is not happy.
Fortunately I don't drive the RR every day any more so it can wait until a sunny day for me to investigate further.
