E-type, have I missed the boat?
Re: E-type, have I missed the boat?

Re: E-type, have I missed the boat?
have you chosen yet?
Re: E-type, have I missed the boat?
I told my bro' in law he was a nit for paying 15k for his '86 Porsche 911 Supersport couple of years ago....

Re: E-type, have I missed the boat?
I have not chosen yet, thing this is going to be a long job!
I'm now toying with selling my TR7 to make a bit of room for a new arrival.
A friend of mine paid 14 grand a few years ago for a '79 911 3.2 coupe and I thought he was mad, looks like he could have doubled his money
E-type is still top of the list but from a practical point of view a 3litre Capri, XJS, escort Rs2000 or Cosworth Sierra all make more sense.

Been looking on away from evil bay and at other sites that advertise classic cars and seem to be finding much cheaper cars advertised elsewere.

+1 Go get your dream car, I went and made my dream happen for me. One main reason was I did not want to look back and think I wonder what it would have been like to own one and drive to LeMans etc.kevin wrote:depending on the size of windfall and personal circumstance, if i had been left a large enough sum of money and my dream was to own an etype then id say go for it, you are only on this earth for a small amount of time so enjoy it while you can.
once owned and enjoyed you can move it on and get some decent cash back
kev
My car has gone up in value somehow, that was never in my mind when I bought it in 07. It just happened I cannot see them dropping either, to what I paid for it in 2007. Those days are long gone.

Re: E-type, have I missed the boat?
We have a decent V12 E type coming in PX very soon and it will be very sensibly priced (not sure how much yet) but I can keep you posted if you like?

Strive for perfection in everything you do
