Criticism is part and parcel of artwork, we all have very set ideas about how a thing should look because we all the see the world differently, so providing it's not just abuse I don't mind criticism at all and more often than not it's something I've already noticed and just have to live with, something to set as a goal not to do the next time.
Overall though, the response to these has been rather positive, I can see where I want to improve things a bit I'm just feeling a little spoiled for choice when it comes to subject matter. I'll no doubt be doing some more 'commercial' vehicles as time goes by, things like Mk1 Ford Escort Mexicos and Morris Minors, I don't really plan for what might sell the best I'd rather focus on what interests me or has caught my attention the most so expect to see a good amount of diversity.
Do feel free to make suggestions as to what models you'd like to see created. I may not draw your suggestion immediately, but it gives me a place to work from. I do artwork for a living, it's pretty hard going most of the time to get the work in more than anything, so hopefully you'll understand if I'm not handing out freebies all the time!
Some of the suggestions so far include: Riley 4/72 - Range Rover - early 1970s Alfa Romeo GTV - Citroen Xantia - Austin Montego - Austin Allegro - Ford Escort Xr3i
If you *really* want to see a particular car, your own car perhaps, created then the best bet is to commission me. This is really easy to do, all I need is at least one photograph of the vehicle (more are useful for smaller details and alternative angles) and a payment of the relevant amount for the finish you'd like - Sketch £10, Ink £20, Colour £40 - and I can then set to work. I can be best reached by e-mail to the address on the pictures above.

I'd love to see a Reliant kitten drawn in your style but am far too much of a tightwad to commission such a thing. I suspect that you'd encounter more competition in the Morris Minor-related stuff as there are already some similar pictures around (and Morris Minor teapots, bedding and even women's intimate apparel) but conversely, the Minor survives in such massive numbers and there are many examples which have been restored and modified in unique ways so there should still be enough demand there to buy you some parts for that R6 project.
Some of the "competition" doesn't appear to represent too great a threat to your work though. Below is a Minor picture that, although the car's shape is captured with a near-photographic sense of shape and proportion, lacks the soul that you've managed to get into your work:

See, without wishing to offend whoever did that, it's just a wee bit plain to make me want to look at it. On the other hand, I keep coming back and finding things I hadn't previously noticed in your Panhard picture which is what would make me buy that if I saw it in a craft market or similar outlet.

I can't draw to save my life so I am always jealous of those that can. congratulations on finding a way of making money from what you enjoy
one day, someone will offer to pay me to sit around, drinking tea but until then I will have to keep the day job.

That Minor picture is what I'm trying to avoid. It requires some skill to produce those sorts of images, but much of it is akin to tracing key details and giving it a block fill of colour. There are applications for that and for some that's what they want, it's particularly useful for repeat prints as you'd find on fabrics but it rarely seems personal and I prefer to create stuff that can be personal. Your comment about coming back to the Panhard picture and noticing new things is exactly what I try to put into my pictures so it's good to know that's coming across.
I like the Reliant Kitten, so that's a definite possible for the future. I'm making a note of what does get suggested and if I'm stuck for an idea I take a look and pick something off it. When you draw 6 days a week sometimes you can feel a bit stuck for new ideas!
Which Micra? There are many types, and they're rather likeable little things.

Both John and Rich have an obsession with the K10 Micra. Each to their own

That's because K10s are ace and embody all that is excellent in frugal basic motoring with a liberal sprinkling of Japanese engineering competence. I really rate K10s.

& Don't forget how durable they are! I don't know the current statistic but a few years ago the K10 existed in numbers close to 50% of their total built at a time when the rate for miniMetros was under 5%. Yes, I've welded patches into slightly rusty K10s but not anywhere near as many as I have to K11s and a totally rust-free K10 is still something you can find with relative ease in the local papers from areas such as Bournemouth, where some older people go to see out their days.
K10s also have one of the more pleasant and reliable CVTs. Everything about them is good, IMHO.
