OK, it's modern - DPF fun!

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

I always umm and ahh on petrol vs diesel. Diesel spare parts cost more but need them less often, The performance difference is not huge any more, petrol cars with a lighter engine are more fun to chuck about but turbo diesels have that nice turbo push when they kick in and are more economical in traffic. Stop-Start gets around that but I am not a fan of it as the last one I had had was a hire car which picked a set of traffic lights in Camden to stop and refuse to start again.
50mpg in a diesel or 40 in the equivalent petrol. It's close. I think I will swap my daily diesel for another one in the next year or so as it is almost at 150,000 now and will have passed 200 before the end of next year.

You have seen the badge on the back of that, are you surprised? ;)
I like where the sign is pointing, maybe JC was in the mood for some more extra-marital fun.

Lets not forget, the main design and engineering is still done in the UK. OK, they may be screwed together mostly in China with the last few bits fitted in Longbridge, but there's more British engineering under the skin than Chinese.

Clarkson only had to push because he got caught out by the stop/start system apparently, there wasn't a fault with the car.
