mr2 alternator removal

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

:? I could be wrong here, but isn't the wing on Hammond's MGF - as seen above - fitted because the car is so long that without the wing, its driver wouldn't know where the back end of the thing was. Something to do with the curvature of the earth?

"Home is where you park it", so the saying goes. That may yet come true..

more like curvature of the "chassis" ;)
Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.

There are a few Hilux on the farm, the oldest is a 1986 and the newest is 2005, they seem to take HUGE amounts of abuse and go on and on and on (etc). The only thing I would say about them is they seem to get stuck in deep mud more often than the land rovers do (possibly because they get used more, possibly because they are less able when the going gets very sticky)

It depends what your budget is as to if you will get a rusty runner or something that is worth owning.

I will ask, they tend to get filled up from the farm's (white) diesel tank so I have never paid much attention. I only ever use one when the weather is crappy or I need to move wood, etc about and don't want to get my rr dirty.
