Fabulous! :D Well done :)

I would stick with the TR6 steels, I think they suit the car much better than minilights :P

Thanks for the comments everyone.

I've managed to get out in the car every day for the last 4 days - between downpours! Although we did get caught in a rather heavy shower yesterday evening whilst just nipping out for petrol... so now I know TR6 wipers are more form than function, so I'll have to treat the windscreen to a bit of Rain-X.

The speedo is working well now so I know I've covered a little over 100 miles without any issues.... but a large grin on my face every time the revs hit 3500 rpm :D

I bought a hood last week, and have cleaned up an painted the hood frame. Plan is to get it fitted this weekend if I have time.

It would be rude of me not to post a couple more photos for your viewing pleasure. A couple of artsy ones you may enjoy 8-)

Hi all,

Very reluctantly, I'm putting the car up for sale. Too many other things on the go and I need the space to work on my VW camper resto.

Has to go to a good home... I'll be vetting the potential buyers as much as they're vetting the car!

Price is £12,750 ovno

Serious buyers only, please contact me on 07862 274 169

Just to close this thread off.

The car has now been sold and is off to a good home in Buckinghamshire. I hope the new owner enjoys the car as much as I have.

Now on with the VW Earlybay resto...!
