iveco

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

As Tractorman says, if the holes are large enough then blanking grommets (with some sealant) are the way to go. If they are screw hole sized then you could get away with some epoxy from the inside then sanding the bumps back from the top.
It is always amazing the bodges you see with vans. People just don't seem to care as much as they do with a car.

The builders bodge: If there is a hole, bung some tape over it and hope the customer doesn't notice until they have been paid ;)

Well, if you ain't got grommets, do what our local tradesmen do - plenty of silicon!

I would have said builders, but I don't know what they use - they never turn up. OK, I'm bitter and twisted, but I am cold and the builder that came in June to see about fitting a fire hasn't turned up yet. My phone bill only has one chargeable number on it - the builder's mobile!!

I'm sure Rich would come and fit a stove with gaffa tape for you if you paid for the flights, hotel, meals and tape ;)

wouldn't it have looked better with the bolt heads on the outside? you could have got those fencing bolts with the flat round heads.
At least you shouldn't get a free shower whenever you drive in the rain now. Between that and a new starter you will think you have a new van! ;)
