Fancy driving a steam engine?

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

Fancy driving a steam engine?

#1 Post by Martin Evans »

Special Last Minute Offer :!:

Drive and fire a steam locomotive this Saturday 14th September for only £162.50 (50% off the normal £325 price).

Please note that spaces are very limited.

Steam course members operating duties include driving and firing the loco, taking charge of the train as guard and operating the signal boxes.

Unlimited tea and coffee throughout the day and a two course buffet for two is included in the price
(Additional buffet lunches can be purchased at £7.50 per person).

A partner is welcome to join you in most of the activities (excluding footplate work) at no extra charge.

Contact http://www.deanforestrailway.co.uk/ if you are interested. I've done one and very much enjoyed it. Woodman Inn, at Parkend, is great to refresh yourself afterwards :!:
