Are you James Brindley the canal engineer. He is the man that was dismissed from his job designing the Birmingham canal network because the City Fathers said he was spending too much time on other canal jobs mainly Coventry. Now when you go to Birmnigham there are lots of places named after him and quite a few schools have a house named after him. Not bad for being sacked!!

No, as you rightly surmise my good P I am not he.
Just to be fair though, my main invention has been adapted / improved over the years by others, meaning that there have also been horse / pony drawn, steam, electric and internal combustion engined versions, some capable of propelling under there own power and some whilst carrying a person, so there is a vague if tenuous transport connection.
That might just be too much info
