Bad luck, you might be able to persuade the insurer that is fixing the dent on the other side to do that one as part of the deal. I used to work for an accident repair centre (collecting cars, not fixing them) when I was a student and they frequently made deals like that.
Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.

Two of my friends on facebook are interested in taking her off me so I may take up their offer and plough funds into the Daimler for now, she really needs a caliper sorting asap.
I LOVE the MG but I suppose I can always get another one later or perhaps even a midget once I have slimmed down a bit.
I think that I am too unlucky for the poor car :(

Accidents happen to everyone once in a while. RWD cars in the wet can be a handful especially if you have old tyres. If you like the car, it is worth fixing.

Hello lads

I am a little more chipper today, I think the misery was fresh last time I was on.
I have taken a few photos of the damage and I'll try and figure out how to get them on here for you to have a look.
Front bumper had a tiny tap and has split slightly - not too worried about that at the mo as its nothing almost, the rear wing though has taken a bit of a crunch. I think, looking at it what has happened is - the car has swung around nudged the front slightly and carried on swerving into the barrier with the rear bumper missing it and the rear light cluster area taking the brunt of it.
I was only going about 40 if that as I was just coming off a large roundabout.
A new back wing drivers side would be ideal and pretty much sort it but I REALLY have to get the Daimler sorted as she has stood now for about 4 months and I want to get her back on the road..... ooh the dilemma :)
The MG does have road tax till end of August and MOT for another 10 months or so, so I guess I could pause relax and take stock.

ok lads - I hope this works

This was her about two days before the crash, needed some work around the front headlight and a total respray (I have just bought a compressor).

Now its cry time :(

front bumper cracked though damage here is pretty minimal - apart from the previous rot that needed looking at.

Image

rear side on view - its not showing up but there is a slight dent between the arch and door but only a mild one..

Image

The boot looks distorted on this but it isnt, its fine - its the wing thats crunched :( - poor MG as you can see here it looks as though the barrier missed the bumper and just hit the wing itself - pity as I wasnt blasting around and I bet the rubber bumper would have taken the knock with only a slight bump/bend.

Image

a more complete view - as you can see the damage isnt horrendous but its just come at a bit of a bad time - not enough funds to sort both and a needy Daimler already waiting patiently. Like I say though this has about 10 months MOT left so I may be able to cover the damage for now and wait till funds rebuild. I may still sell as a repairer but I do LOVE the MG :S - choices choices!

That looks like a good candidate for the freezer spray technique. Assuming that you can get your hands on a hairdryer or similar heat source and a can of freezer spray (Maplins, around a fiver) then it's definitely worth a try. You'd find that the smaller dent below the lamp unit may need additional dressing out but the larger dent would almost certainly pop straight out that way and the wing would come back into the right position if it did.
I was a bit unsure when I first saw it done but having used the technique (successfully) now on a couple of far worse areas of damage than the relatively minor knock you've to deal with, I'd be giving it a go. :)

That's certainly not disastrous damage by any means.
