#1 Post by Oldcarnut »

Another classic car show on now on "Dis Turbo" with the lovely Bernie (of Leepu chop shop fame) where they are restoring an MGB with some yank. They lifted the car and the rear axel fell out..... .Fuzz, give them a dig out.Of course, Bernie pushing his weight around as usual.

Unfortunately there are a few episodes of them ruining cars:

There are a few posts about it in the car SOS thread too.
Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.

Doesn't that happen all the time with an MGB?

You go off for a blast round the country lanes and the rear axle pops off into a hedge?

I've seen a few episodes and they're not too bad. I remember Bernie from "Chop Shop" (typical Cockney!). The other guy (Mario) is actually a Canadian.

I watched those before. I really do hope that Bernie is exaggerating for the cameras as he really does come across as an insufferable arse
Landrovers and Welding go together like Bread and Butter. And in the wet they are about as structurally sound

I'm enjoying Fast 'N' Loud too. Shame about their Mustang getting pranged as it looked damn good. There is lots of acting up for the cameras but the cars look amazing.

Classic car "rescue" is a lesson on how not to do it.
