Love this but no way can I afford it :(

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

Been admiring this awesome bit of kit for months but in my wildest dreams I couldn't ever afford it

The owner has posted the restoration on the board, well worth a look:

Seems a fair bargain at £14k.

Errrrr no.

That or the fake snake that he`s trying to flog will ever do it for me.

£14k or £145k, I`d rather have the original version. A lot of work may have gone into the updating of the machine but in modifying the car that much he has seriously reduced the market - ability of the car, in my view.

Good luck to him but I fear that he will not get anything like that back. If he`s lucky he might get back something aroundthe £14k mark but alot of those who love these cars also love originality...

Yes, but a lot of them are boring and own a jacket with leather elbows. ;)

I misread the price and wasn't taking the wotsit, I actually managed to read it as 14k, put that down to tired eyes and a small (4.7") screen. The actual price is probably below the cost of the job if it were calculated in hourly terms so it's difficult to say whether it's far too much. OK, so that money would buy a large property in a couple of acres, complete with outbuildings and a name instead of a number but who needs bricks & mortar when you can have steel and cubic inches?

Perhaps, but there's always a danger of meeting as many as eight more like it when out driving, so it's hardly as exclusive as the Vipercepter. The AC does seem really inexpensive for what it is though.

 yeah good point!!

Anyway, my H120 is probably rarer so surely must be worth at least £100k !!

I agree with that conclusion because I can fit comfortably into an Arrow bodied car and find any of the variations on the theme to be perfectly satisfactory for long journeys.
Could the same be said for the rare AC? Possibly not. QED! 8-)
