Splines on Steering Column

#1 Post by tomcat »

I am looking to upgrade the steering wheel on my Hillman Husky [1960 Series 2].
Does anyone know the number of splines on the column please?
Also did Hillman retain this detail on later models in their range?
Thanks :)

Just a thought but how about pulling the wheel, counting the splines and measuring the taper and any backspace between the edge of the boss and its rearmost rim? With that information, you'll be able to ask Mountney for the boss number that you need. :)

Have some information that Ford Anglia splines are the same as Hillman.
Have contacted Mountney at Leighton Buzzard, which is fairly near to call in to.
