no drive

Hearing the chat about faults on Fords, does anyone remember the hexagonal drive shaft to the oil pump and distributor on the early Transit vans and the Corsair cars.....what a crap unreliable way to take drive to anything..these were liable to fail without any warning at all(it happened on my Transit and Corsair)
it was bad a enough idea but to compound it they had not hardened the end of the drive shaft at all...but then again Fords have not been making cars for very long........we had so many Transit come into our garage at one stage they referred to our premises as the Transit stopoff........

Eh? This was posted two years ago and I hadn't subscribed to it so why the pm telling me of new posts in this thread.
More importantly, has Ford recalled the affected vehicles yet? :?
