strangest/weirdest/out andish mod you have seen on a car?

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

An Opel Rekord hearse, seen recently on my flickR photostream:
The one they used must have been a later model as the bonnet is
different from the one you posted john.

If you look at this picture and imagine it without headlights you can
see why I thought it might be a cx. But I forgot about the overhang
past the front wheels.

Mister Luxobarge already made a similar observation about the fitting of a
winch to one of those. ;)
Yes guilty as charged on both accounts. But the winch is removable as it
uses the towbar pin for fixing in place(eventually)and will be stored in boot.
So as it is out of the way and only gets put in the car during the bad
weather.
But mine are very minor things compared to the snow ploughs which got the
thread started!

It was a Carlton/Rekord hearse, just a latter one, hence the dropped bonnet line ;)

Just to bring that hearse up again, it's just appeared on C&C for sale, yours for just £1250!

Apparently it was the star of kids TV show Young Dracula going by the blurb
