Introductions
Re: Introductions - Saying Bonjour
Hello everybody,
My project is a slightly daunting Citroen HY van - a 1970 Dutch built camper that has languished in a barn for more than two decades and needs a bucket full of money spending on it to get it back on the road.
Having had the van for 7 months now and with it being exposed to the elements I'm now moving it into workshop space I've secured and I'm looking for someone to share the space with me. I'll post the details separately but if you are in need of space and are near the RG41 postcode please get in touch.

Hello Terry,
I've got a modified Moggy that I've just got back on the road after 3 years, and a Mk2 Golf in my garage in pieces .I started out just respraying the chips in the paintwork and it seems to have grown into an all out resto job!
Once the Golf is done(Ha)I will strip the Moggy down and give her the full monty!
And at last I will have a shiney mota!
By the way I live in the right Royal borough of Kingston and work as a Design and Technology Technician(thats metalwork, woodwork, cooking, textiles, graphics and poota aided design and manufacture for you who remember Des o'Connor before he turned orange.)
Cheers,
Phil

Hi!
I'm new here, checking in from Canada.
Current project is a 93 VW Passat wagon, previously was a 1985 VW Transporter Doka.
Actively looking for some kind of British Ford to bring over here. I want to get back to my roots, and I figure an oddball RHD Ford is the way to do it! What I want changes daily. Sometimes it's a mid-80s Capri, sometimes I want an old Transit van, sometimes I want to go nuts and find a 60s Cortina. I'm all over the map!
I guess when the right vehicle shows itself I'll know it!
Everyone likes pics, so here's my Passat.

It's a 93 VR6 wagon with the 5-speed manual. I've since added a turbo, coilover suspension, Porsche wheels, and a bunch of other stuff. It's fun, but I'm losing interest.
Here's my previous project. 1985 VW Doka. Did an engine swap with an TDI from a 2004 Jetta. Lowered it, South African front end conversion, Mercedes wheels.

Re: Introductions
Hi all,
My name's Joe, and I live in Derbyshire (which I like a lot).
Some great-looking, truly practical classics on this site - I think I've landed amongst like minded folk...
My current car is a Eunos Roadster in BRG, manufactured in 1990.
Before that, I had a Rover 214 Cabriolet that I bought from a mate for £300 because it had failed its MOT (minor stuff, really). The bodywork and hood were in great nick, and it became one of the most reliable cars I've ever owned.
I once traded our family Audi A4 for a much older Audi 100, which I thought much better but decided to sell because she was getting through a lot of oil.
My liking for older cars started with a 1983 Golf Cabriolet in a rather rare metallic plum colour. We had a good year with her before deciding to completely re-upholster the interior (bought a lot of cream leather!), but she sat for too long and ended up as an unfinished project, I gave her away, leather and all. Lesson learnt.
I've joined the forum because I'm getting 'twitchy' and starting to fancy a change from the Roadster, fantastic though she is.
Also, I'm trying to get a charity rally off the ground next year that combines one of my other interests - hill walking. Please see the 'Three Peaks Rally' thread in the Meet-Ups section and consider coming along - it should be really interesting!

Hello.
I'm Mark, and I'm from Derby. My daily driver's a Ford Fusion 2 TDCi, which gets me to places I need to be with the minimum of fuss and quite cheaply too.
I also have a Triumph TR7 DHC, in Persian Aqua with a Sprint motor and lots of rust, which I'm replacing with actual steel slowly but surely. Time, money, inclination: pick ant two...
