Return to cyberland. Computer died last week so couldn't keep up with news. My suggestion of Rich taking his log to Dorset was a bit of a jest but on the serious side there must be similar outfits like those which go to Dorset in France. In the nineties there was a chap up Fishguard way who had a mobile bandsaw set up on a trailer. I think it was self loading but it would not be a big deal to get a trunk on . He would come to your property and plank it to your sizes. I only wish that he had been around in the eighties when I had my smallholding as a neighbour took out a hedge and I had all the trees off it for helping him. Some of the trunks (ash and oak) were over 3' diameter and would have yielded a load of timber. Kept the woodburner going for 3 years
