Re: Introductions
Greetings all, I have spent my whole life around classic cars and have read Practical Classics for over 20 years. I have owned numerous classic cars and currently work with Jaguars old and new. I have a huge passion for all things Jaguar but also enjoy any other classic car. I am a professional valeter and auto detailer but I have lots of experience in engine building, bodywork, welding etc I just thought I'd drop in and say a big hello and hopefully partake in your forum.

Hi all! I am Toni, living in Finland. I have been Opel fan for 20 years, especially ´80 and early 90´s.
I have now Opel Monza GSE -86 as a summer car and Opel Vectra Turbo 4x4 -94 (Vauxhall Cavalier turbo in UK) as a winter car... Great, that I find your forum!
Have a nice summer for everyone and enjoy your Classics!!
Best regards
Toni, FINLAND

Richard Moss, long time owner of classics of various types. I currently live and work in Abu Dhabi where I run a Holden Monaro (badged as a Chevrolet Lumina here) and a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee which I use off-road.
Back in the UK, I currently own an MGC GT(bought in 1989), a mk1 MG Metro, my wife has 1992 Rover 216 cabriole (Honda twin cam engine) and I've bought a Rover 100 (Rover 111) as my eldest daughter's first car.
Past classics include:
2 TR7s
MG Metro 1300
Allegro
Mk1 Scirocco
MK1 Golf GTI
A number of neo-classic Rover 800s (I run www.rover800.info/forum )
Probably loads of others that I've forgotten

Re: Introductions
Greetings Greg, I too work with modern cars every day but always have and I think always will, love the old ones! I think modern cars are just like white goods. Disposable and characterless
Re: Introductions
If you are going to dispose of that characterless XK then there is space in my garage
Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.
