Ay up!
I have used this stuff in a proper spray gun before but it was so long ago I've forgotten a lot of the ins and outs.
Am I correct in assuming that for a regular spray gun I'll need to thin 50:50?
And how much would a 1 litre (approx 2 pints for those who still deal in old money!) cover?
I will be touching in the paint on a van which needs some fairly large, deep scrapes sorting.
Any advice very welcome. Not having access to a spray booth, I'm not even considering 2K.

It's been my experience that it's quite hard to do this, much better end results from spraying whole panels. It does depend on what's already on there though.Xantia-nut wrote:I will be touching in the paint on a van which needs some fairly large, deep scrapes sorting.
1 litre would do maybe a bonnet, two doors, something like that.
Yes, 50/50 is a good starting point for thinning, I usually use a much thinner final coat to get the gloss though.
Cheers

After measuring the dents following Luxobarge's comments the cost of the job has been reduced significantly.

Hello There
IF you use a mini gun that litrre will go a lot further. Dolphin glaze is great for filling those scratches in the paint surface. It is weird stuff to use though.

A minigun is really cool in a Terminator 2 sort of way but won't it make a bit of a mess of the bodywork?
