Well, it had to happen eventually; while using the tiny turning area at work, I've kissed the wall with the Lexus' front bumper & left a nice impression of the brickwork's most raised sections. There's few areas that are even as big as a touchup stick's brush, so I'm wondering what might be the most efficient way of dealing with the rubblerash... Could some form of colour restore polish work to conceal the little gaps & scratches, or should I get the whole area sanded back & blended in?

Such a shame, only yesterday she was at the main dealer being admired for her originality

I know this sounds like a cop-out, but if I were you I'd get one of those mobile scuff-magic, or dent-doctor type fellas to do it - they often do a perfect repair, and also often don't cost more than about £30-ish - they have all the right gear, colour-matching kit etc. on board and for that price I coudn't be bothered to do it myself.

It's worth cutting back the area and seeing what you're left with. The Hellfrauds touch up kits come with a brush and a fine needle point for small areas, worth having a go yourself for the sake of a few quid. If you do cock it up, then maybe a pro repair would be the way to go.

I've had good results with the T-Cut Colour Magic polish, but it does eventually wash out of the cracks.

Thanks chaps, I'll look around for one of those mobile blokes & see what he charges, then see if it's worth having a go myself beforehand... There's a couple of other small areas they could look at as well, including a horse bite on the boot!

Last one I used was called "Chips Away" but you know the sort of thing, they're usually a franchise, should be fairly easy to search them out.
