When I had a 205, the resistor went open circuit and all that happened was that the dim-dip stopped working and the lights functioned normally. That was why I suggested disconnecting it. Your version seems much more complicated.It does not make any difference if the resistor is connected or not so that can be ignored.

Hi Suffolkpete no problem, it can only be a Citroen 
they do seem to do things in a rather convoluted way, you know that is what I thought, remove resistor sorted.Ha Ha.I should have known. Cheers mate.
