Someone asked on one of the forums about the space behind the engine.
So here are some photos taken today.

Would re-locating the brake servo and master cylinder be feasible?

Not familiar at all with the Neon I'm afraid, so all I can do is chuck suggestions at you.

C'mon Aron, nobody could be expected to know the precise measurements of what is, after all, a one-off transplant job for which the figures are known only to you as its creator.

I think it's pointless to ask the question if you don't want to accept the answer in the spirit in which it was offered; kindness. :)

JPB please understand, that as in most cars in the last 15 years they cram
so much under the dash, that having the brake master cylinder moved,
powered by a bar across the inside under the dash which would be one
option, was out the minute it was brought up.

In order to have it over on the passenger side I would have to dump the
heater matrix and fans on the inside and move the air bags and their control
modules. As the car has the airbags as factory fit as standard for import
these need to be there.

The other option of keeping the pedal system where it is through the bulk
head an having it push a bar along infront of the firewall to the brake
master cylinder which would need to be mounted sideways is a no go too
as shown in the above photos there is no space behind the back of the
intake manifold.

Added to which there are control modules, exhaust pipes, cooling pipes the
ABS pump(another factory standard fit) the transmission The fuse board and
the cooling system reservoir.

This is why I asked about remote pulley power ancillaries.
This was taken on Saturday

This was the original layout I came up with before realising that there was not
enough clearance for drive shafts.

This was the second version of the layout.

And then I tried that in and had to move the alternator up front temporally I hope.

I hope these old pictures from the build thread helps you understand better and
why I want to put it back behind the block and off set.

'kin unbelievable.

I understood perfectly, but you invited suggestions then rejected the only one anyone could be arsed to offer in terms that were, frankly, pretty rude.

And you still don't see the issue to which I alluded earlier about why offset pulleys would, in fact, probably not be an ideal solution in this case. Clue: that may be the way forward on a Honda ..... ;)

You're so close to getting this thing back on the road, it would be a shame to fail because of reluctance to allow others' views to be considered.
And the whole point of a remote servo is surely that you can mount it anywhere. The master cylinder doesn't need to be relocated with the servo.

JPB. Thanks for sticking up for me there. Your very gallant.

Mitsuru. You are the one asking for help here. If you want it, now or in future, then keep your temper.
